What is your favorite time of the day and why?

My favorite time of the day is early morning when the world is still quiet. I use this time to write, meditate, or simply sit with myself. These moments ground me, giving me clarity and energy before the day begins. Chanting, breathwork, and movement are often part of my mornings, helping me start the day from a centered and intentional place.

What does Kundalini yoga mean to you, and how did you come into this particular type of yoga?

Kundalini yoga is deeply personal and transformative for me—it’s love at first sight that never faded. The chanting, pranayama, and rhythmic movements drew me in almost two decades ago, offering something unlike anything else I’d experienced. Kundalini yoga connects me to my intuition and my body, helping me explore energy, creativity, and relaxation in profound ways.

In what ways has becoming a mother transformed you?

Motherhood has softened and expanded me. It has been a Dream come true for me. It’s made me more present and reminded me to cherish the small joys of life, like slow breakfasts or quiet walks. My children have taught me patience, playfulness, and expanded my heart deeply. They have shown me the importance of simplicity. They inspire me to create a life filled with creativity and love.

How do you mother yourself?

I mother myself by nurturing my energy through practices like Kundalini yoga, sauna rituals, meditation, and spending time in nature. I also prioritize moments of joy—playing board games with my family, arranging fresh flowers, or reading something that excites me. Self-care for me means honoring my own needs and allowing time for creativity and stillness.

How do you stay inspired in your life and in your work?

I stay inspired by connecting with nature, exploring new sensory experiences, and surrounding myself with people who inspire me. Creating retreats and events sparks my creativity and keeps me energized.

Novak Djokovic inspires me deeply—his mental game, integrity, and dedication are remarkable examples of what is possible when you live with focus and purpose. Emmie from The Daily Rest is also a significant expander for me. Her energy is so special, and her way of thinking resonates deeply. Spending time with her during her visit to Copenhagen was a truly meaningful experience—she’s an inspiring and thoughtful presence.

Lacy Phillips from To Be Magnetic (TBM) is another expander in my life. I admire her transparency and use her methods in my daily life to align with my values and goals.

Overall, I feel expanded and inspired by people who embrace life with sincerity, even amid its complexities. Their joy, depth, and originality motivate me to keep exploring and creating.

What advice do you have for other women dreaming of creating a sustainable & authentic work life?

Trust your intuition and listen to your body—it knows more than you think. No one’s journey is like yours, so embrace your uniqueness. Be willing to plan deeply, but don’t lose the spark of creativity and play. Surround yourself with supportive people, and always make space for rest and joy. Sustainability comes from balancing passion with nourishment, for both yourself and your work.

Nothing is an overnight success. Every step you take, every little step, will get you closer to where you want to be. I can’t emphasize this enough—it takes time to build something meaningful. It takes time, effort, and persistence. No one I know who has achieved their heart’s desires in business, art, or life has done it overnight. It’s often two steps forward, one step back—and that’s just the dance of growth.

Sometimes it will feel hard, even discouraging, but that’s when a strong support system is essential. Surround yourself with people who remind you of your purpose and help you keep going when challenges arise. If you keep taking those small steps, if you try one more time, if you create one more event or project, people—and the universe—will see your dedication.

The goal is simple: take one step and do one thing each day. Over time, those small, consistent efforts will lead to something extraordinary.

Women who create a life living on their own terms, in line with their true authentic self, inspire me. One of these women is Angie Larsen, founder of Sat Nam Living. Angie opened my eyes to kundalini yoga and I love how she holds space in her classes. Her approach is that yoga doesn’t have to be strict and rigid; rather, she does it in her own way, making it fit into her life as a mother of two.
